Are you clear on your role and authority in the implementation process? Do you have the knowledge and skills you will need to be successful?

Implementations are more likely to be successful when

  • the clinical supervisor was a respected person with high credibility
  • was dedicated to assuring use of the practice
  • had the authority to remove barriers. [1]

The Executive Sponsor/CEO is responsible for:

  • authorizing the time and resources needed to complete the project successfully
  • delegating the responsibility and authority to a "Change Leader" to implement the EBP
